Q & A with Beezie…
“What workouts does Beezie do to stay in shape? As I have gotten older it is a challenge to stay in ring shape. -Tracy A”
Hi Tracy, great question! Fitness is important to all athletes, especially equestrians. John and I have worked out with a personal trainer, Tony Cabrales, for fifteen or so years and he is a key component to our team. We focus quite a bit on strength training, as I do get a decent amount of cardio in my riding. The use of weights was a game changer for me when we started with Tony. When we are in Wellington, we meet with Tony three days a week. When we are in New York or on the road, we will do video calls to stay on top of our workouts with him. -Beezie
Team Madden Note -If you want more information on this subject, The Chronicle of the Horse did a great article on Beezie’s workouts here that is both hilarious and educational!
